Morning Hacks to Help You Finally Reach Your Goals This Year

No matter what your goals are for the new year, mindset is key. The best way to get a powerful, goal oriented mindset is to set a ritual and start your morning on a positive, upbeat note. Whether it’s to get in shape, get that promotion or just be more present and enjoy what you already have, consider adopting a few or all of theses habits. You can either leave the door feeling empowered and focused, or play catch up running out the door. You have the power to choose the tone.

  1. Wake up 30 minutes early. This is a real game changer. This allows you time to get focused for the day. It may be the only time of the day that allows you to focus on you. It’s arguably the most important part of your day.

  2. Drink water. Drinking (1-2 cups) ideally, first thing in the morning on an empty stomach can help jump start your metabolism and hydrate your body and brain. It’s also a great way to flush out toxins.

  3. Adopt the attitude of gratitude. What you focus on gets bigger. When you focus your attention on what you already have, you are not only happier but have a heightened sense of awareness of all the amazing small things that make up the big picture in your life. This positive attitude will help you navigate more gracefully through your day to day hurdles.

  4. Set your intentions for the day. Happiness is choice. Take a few moments of silence to sit and breathe. Repeat some positive affirmations, journal, or listen to a quick guided meditation. When you start your day on a happy, relaxed note, you are much less likely to get pulled into the negativity around you. Also will help give you a clearer perspective on things during your day.

  5. Eat some good fats. Foods loaded with omega 3 are vital for brain function, focus, productivity, and memory. It can also help with stress management. Let’s face it, we can all do without unnecessary stress in our lives.

  6. Movement. No ones asking you to do burpees at 6AM..unless you want to. Doing some stretching or yoga can get those endorphins firing and prepare you take on the day. If you are up for it and have the desire to do some strengthening, you can follow a 15 minute YouTube video to really get the blood pumping. It’s not about being in perfect shape, it’s about being aware of your body and being one with it.

Remember, consistency is key to a strong mind and body. Which ever hack you choose, make a heartfelt commitment to it. Because you are worth it.

With Love,
