Spa Vitamin Water

 

What If I told you, you can add a few delicious ingredients to something  you already do everyday that will help you have more energy, sharper thinking, and will shed a few inches along the way?   Sounds too easy, doesn't it? 

 

The original vitamin water was provided by nature, with it's intoxicatingly fresh smell and sweet taste. Adding, fruits and herbs to your water everyday helps detox the body gently - every time you drink water.  Pumping your body full of vitamins and nutrients will help flush out toxins and consequently give you more energy. 

 

 Plus, most of us don't drink enough water.  This is a great way to motivate yourself to not only drink more water, but to crowd out sugar ladened juices and sodas.  Processed sugar is a culprit for inflammation that can cause a host of chronic diseases.   Diet drinks are even worse!  The are linked to weight gain vs weigh loss.  Skip all the processed chemicals and opt for nature's gifts.  

 

The best part is you can use your favorite fruit and/or herbs to make a combination you love!  There are no rules! 

 

 

 

                                            Summer Mojito

 

INGREDIENTS:

1 lime (sliced)

2 sprigs of mint

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Muddle all the ingredients on the bottom of the glass a 2-3 times to release the flavor

2. Add water

3. For best results, store 4-5 hours before drinking 

 

 

                                                  Berry Minty 

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup blackberries

1 sprig of mint

1 orange sliced

 

INSTRUCTIONS: 

1. Muddle all the ingredients on the bottom of the glass a 2-3 times to release the flavor

2. Add water

3. For best results, store 4-5 hours before drinking 

 

Notes:

You can make it in batches and refrigerate it for up to 3 days.  Enjoy throughout out the day to stimulate digestion and release toxins why hydrating.

 

Here are other combinations you may enjoy:

 

1. 5 basil leaves, 1 lime sliced

2. 1/2 cup pineapple, 2 sprigs mint

3. 1/2 cup watermelon, 2 springs mint

4. 1/2 cup blackberries, 2 sprigs sage 

 

Remember, there are no rules!  Combine your favorite fruits and herbs, add some water, and you have a your very own infused spa water!
