Healthy Pumpkin Spiced Latte

 

Winter is coming. 

 

Cozying up with a homemade pumpkin spiced latte makes it so much easier.   As the food industry tries to sell us on pumpkin flavored EVERYTHING,  remember that most of those options don't have actual pumpkin in them. They’re mostly loaded with chemicals our bodies don’t recognize as food. 

 

Opt for a cleaner version at home. It takes no more than 5 minutes to make and tastes way better than any store bought ‘flavored’ coffee.

 

Remember, organic coffee is always best as it’s free of unnecessary pesticides, herbicides, and chemicals.  Organic coffee not only tastes better, but it’s incredibly better for the environment.  We the consumer hold great power in how the food industry  grows and distributes food. We vote with our dollar.

INGREDIENTS 

 

1 cup freshly brewed STRONG coffee

1 tbs pumpkin puree

2 tbs full fat coconut cream

½ tsp vanilla extract

¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice

2-3 tsp maple syrup, coconut palm sugar, or 5 drops of organic liquid stevia 

1/2 tsp cardamom (optional)

additional toppings: ground cinnamon 

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

  1. In a blender (I use a Nutribullet), combine all the ingredients and blend.

  2. Pour into a cup and top cinnamon if desired

  3. Enjoy with love and gratitude

  4. Make time to catch up with a friend and invite them over to share a cup of real pumpkin spiced latte
